District 4 is the smallest urban district of Ho Chi Minh City, it is surrounded by rivers and canals and it is where the Saigon Port is located. It borders Saigon River and District 2 to the northeast, Bến Nghé River and District 1 to the northwest, and Tẻ Canal and District 7 to the south.
District 4 is a relatively Vietnamese living and working community that has a vibrancy about it that attracts a number of visitors to this area. This District is not as developed or as busy with tourists as some of the other areas of Saigon. The quieter but yet bustling streets are adorned with street traders and food vendors all vying for your business.
