District 2 can be seen as an alluring family-friendly settlement for Western expats and wealthy Vietnamese, as it provides a high standard of living in a more residential and tranquil setting. While this District is close to the city centre, it is still far enough away to be a more attractive location to live in as it is somewhat secluded from District 1’s endless activities.
District 2, specifically Thao Dien Ward and An Phu Ward offer less chaotic streets, numerous international schools, and Westernised housing options. As it’s away from the hustle of central Saigon, it allows for opportunities for high-quality residential apartments, large houses and villas – some with pools and in walled compounds – all at very reasonable prices. Added advantages of this District is that it houses numerous restaurants, retail shops, grocery stores, and commercial premises, all available for rent/purchase.
